When I learned that Frances was offering doula services in Berlin, I have to admit that in addition to thinking, “Oh! What a perfect fit for Frances!” I also selfishly thought, “Why couldn’t she have been older or I have been younger when I gave birth to my kids?!” I certainly would have jumped at the opportunity to have Frances's smile, steady spirit, patience, and kindness at my side during birth. I met Frances three and six years after my own birthing experiences, and while I wasn’t lucky enough to have her as a doula, I was very grateful to her for her reliable care for my then toddler and first-grader. The children were always thrilled to see Frances; kids have a way of gravitating to the very best people, a group to which Frances belongs. She was always reliable and responsible and brought a special mix of positivity, empathy, and joy to our home whenever she visited. My oldest child still remembers her, and stressed that I should include in this review that Frances is "very, very nice and lots of fun!" Anyone who turns to Frances for care and support will find themselves in very good hands indeed! My family and I wish Frances all the best as she continues her journey of supporting and caring for others as a doula.
